Center Overview

The I/UCRC for Sustainably Integrated Buildings and Sites is a collaboration between leading companies, corporations, universities, government agencies, and other organizations renowned for their innovative research capabilities, with the purpose of conducting research that will promote improved energy use, water use, air quality, and productivity in buildings through the integration of appropriate subsystems and technologies.

Research Focus

SIBS’s areas of research include:

  • Building performance analytics; interval energy data analysis, visualization, and modeling
  • Real time building energy management; operational effectiveness; “re-tuning” in buildings with and without Building Automation Systems
  • Building skin optimization, integrating daylighting opportunities with thermal loadings
